Died the Coch NFL Dennis Green

Dennis Green, who coached the Minnesota Vikings and Arizona Cardinals for 13 seasons in the NFL, died Friday morning at 67 years old.

The family friend and former agent Ray Anderson after talking with the wife of Green. Anderson said that Green died of a heart attack.

Green had eight playoff appearances in 10 seasons with the Vikings, reaching the championship game of the NFC in 1998 and 2000. He guided the Vikings to a 15-1 regular season record in 1998.

Fox analyst and former Vikings running back Robert Smith, posted a message with condolences for the death of Green on his Twitter account.

Green stay with the Cardinals may be remembered for his expression "They are what they think they are" after Arizona blew a 20-0 lead over the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football in 2006.

The writer Larry Fitzgerald Sr., father of wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, told a medium with Green on Thursday.

"Denny was my boy," said Fitzgerald. "It gave me the opportunity to host and produce his radio program eight years ago."

Green was also head coach at Northwestern and Stanford in college.
