The first leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-finals has concluded. FC Barcelona and Inter Milan gave us a great match tonight. Goals for Barcelona came from Yamal and Ferran Torres and an own goal from goalkeeper Sommer. For the visitors tonight, Inter Milan scored Thuram and a brace from Dumfries.

The second leg will be played next Tuesday in Italy.

Paris Saint-Germain defeated Arsenal 0-1 away with a goal from Ousmane Dembele in the 4th minute of the first half. A tangled game, but better played by the French, who take home a one-goal advantage for the return leg, which will be played at Princes Park in Paris on Wednesday, May 7, 2025.

In the other tie, Inter Milan drew 2-2 with FC Bayern Munich (aggregate score 4-3), in intense and hard-fought matches. The semifinals will be: Arsenal vs. PSG and Inter vs. FC Barcelona

Total madness ensued in Wednesday's Champions League second leg matches. In a dramatic match, Real Madrid advanced to the quarterfinals by defeating Atletico Madrid on penalties 4-2, after having been down 1-0 in the 90 minutes, which led to extra time with the aggregate score at 2-2 after both games.

Arsenal also advanced to the next round after a 2-2 home draw against PSV and a 9-3 aggregate score.

Another team that suffered greatly in France was Borussia Dortmund, who won 2-1 against Lille after initially losing the game. In the end, the Germans won 3-2 on aggregate, and are now in the next round of the Champions League.

Finally, Aston Villa easily defeated Club Brugge of Belgium 3-0, with an aggregate score of 6-1 and is now in the UCL quarterfinals.
