Relegation-threatened Bournemouth had a late goal disallowed by VAR as they had to settle for a 0-0 draw at home to Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Thursday (July 9).
Callum Wilson thought he had grabbed a crucial win in Bournemouth's desperate battle to avoid the drop but his overhead kick was chalked off for handball after the ball hit the arm of Josh King on the way into the net.
Harry Wilson was then denied a stoppage-time winner by Spurs keeper Hugo Lloris as a dreary game sprang to life.
There were more than 10 minutes of stoppage time after Bournemouth's Adam Smith was carried off on a stretcher in the second half after lengthy treatment for a head injury.
Until the late drama there was precious little excitement with Tottenham only displaying some belated urgency in the second half as they pinned the hosts back.

Real Betis has signed Chilean coach Manuel Pellegrini to lead the team from next season. The contract linking Pellegrini with the entity lasts until June 30, 2023.
Manuel Pellegrini Ripamonti (Santiago of Chile, 1953) developed his career as a player at the University of Chile. With the U he played 451 league games for 13 years, getting to play a game with the national team. As a coach, he debuted at the club his entire life in 1988 to subsequently coach Palestino, O'Higgins, Universidad Católica and again Palestino. In 1999 he began his international career in the University League of Quito, from where he jumped into Argentine football to successfully direct San Lorenzo de Almagro and River Plate.
From the Monumental stadium of River Plate, he made the leap to Europe in April 2004, assuming the leadership of Villarreal. NBA: Miami Heat suspends training at American Airlines Arena

The Miami Heat suspended training at its practice facilities at the AmericanAirlines Arena after a second player tested positive for coronavirus, the Fort Lauderdale Sun Sentinel reported Friday.
The newspaper reported that the team will continue testing players every other day in the arena before leaving on July 8 for Orlando, where the NBA will resume play in a quarantined environment.
However, the Heat will no longer hold individual training sessions for players on the premises.
The Heat did not identify the last player to test positive, but the Sun Sentinel reported that it was part of the team's primary rotation.
Miami joins the Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Clippers as teams that have recently suspended individual practice at their training facility after positive test results.
Teams cannot begin practice until the "bubble" quarantine is removed at Walt Disney World in Orlando.
The season is slated to resume on July 30 with 22 teams vying for the playoff position of 16 teams beginning on August 17.
