The Miami Heat suspended training at its practice facilities at the AmericanAirlines Arena after a second player tested positive for coronavirus, the Fort Lauderdale Sun Sentinel reported Friday.
The newspaper reported that the team will continue testing players every other day in the arena before leaving on July 8 for Orlando, where the NBA will resume play in a quarantined environment.
However, the Heat will no longer hold individual training sessions for players on the premises.
The Heat did not identify the last player to test positive, but the Sun Sentinel reported that it was part of the team's primary rotation.
Miami joins the Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Clippers as teams that have recently suspended individual practice at their training facility after positive test results.
Teams cannot begin practice until the "bubble" quarantine is removed at Walt Disney World in Orlando.
The season is slated to resume on July 30 with 22 teams vying for the playoff position of 16 teams beginning on August 17.
