Uruguayan Edinson Cavani scored early and teammate Luis Suárez converted a penalty in the second half to beat Colombia 3-0 in qualifying for the World Cup.
Edinson Cavani opened the scoring with a low shot with his right foot, after Nahitan Nández stole the ball.
Luis Suárez, raised the score in the second half, when he scored from the penalty point, after Colombian Jeison Murillo knocked down Rodrigo Bentancur.
Darwin Núñez completed the scoring in the 73rd minute when his 25-meter shot surpassed the goal of coffee goalkeeper David Ospina.
Yerry Mina was sent off by Colombia, after a second yellow card in the last minute of the game to complete an afternoon for oblivion, by the home team
The victory takes Uruguay to six points after three games, while Colombia, which beat Venezuela and tied Chile in its first two games, has four.
The top four teams from the 10-team South American group automatically qualify for the Qatar 2022 final with the fifth team entering an interregional playoff.
Uruguay will now face Brazil on Tuesday, while Colombia will be visiting Ecuador in Quito
