Watney, who traveled privately to Hilton Head Island for the tournament and was not on the PGA Tour-provided charter flight, is the first member of the circuit to test positive for the novel coronavirus.

The PGA Tour said upon arriving at Harbor Town for second-round action, Watney indicated he had symptoms consistent with the illness.

After consulting a physician, Watney was administered a test and found to be positive.

"For the health and well-being of all associated with the tournament and those within the community, the Tour has begun implementing its response plan in consultation with medical experts including working with those who may have had close contact with Nick," the PGA Tour said in a statement.

Watney, a five-times winner on the PGA Tour, played the first round on Thursday in a group with fellow Americans Vaughn Taylor and Luke List.

The tournament is the second in the PGA Tour's return from a three-month Covid-19 break and among the five that will be played without spectators to help stem the spread of the virus

Tennis: ATP and WTA Tours announce August resumption

The men's ATP Tour and women's WTA Tour on Wednesday (June 17) issued revised calendars for the resumption of professional tennis after the shutdown caused by the novel coronavirus pandemic.

The men's Tour will resume on Aug 14 with the Citi Open, ATP 500 event in Washington, DC, while the first WTA event will be staged in Palermo, Italy from Aug 3.

Tennis, apart from some exhibition events, ground to a halt in mid-March, with Wimbledon being canceled altogether and the French Open being moved to September.

Announcing the new provisional schedule, ATP chairman Andrea Gaudenzi said the objective had been to salvage as much of the season as possible.

"It has been a truly collaborative effort and we hope to add more events to the calendar as the situation evolves," he said.

"I would like to recognize our tournaments' efforts to operate during these challenging times, as well as our players who will be competing under different conditions.

"At every turn, ensuring that the resumption of the Tour takes place in a safe environment will be paramount." Following the Citi Open, the Cincinnati Masters 1000 will be held at Flushing Meadows, followed by the US Open.

The clay courts wing will start on Sept 8 in Kitzbuhel, Austria and will overlap with the second week of the US Open. /

Jürgen Norbert Klopp, was born on June 16, 1967, his playing career was made mostly by the Mainz 05 team of the professional football league in Germany.

he initially deployed as a forward, before moving on to defense. Upon retiring in 2001, Klopp became the club's coach and obtained promotion to the Bundesliga in 2004.

After suffering a decline in the 2006–07 season and unable to reach promotion, Klopp resigned in 2008 as the club's longest serving coach.

He then became coach of Borussia Dortmund, guiding them to the Bundesliga title in 2010-11, before winning Dortmund's first home double for a record season. Klopp also guided Dortmund to second place in the 2012–13 UEFA Champions League before leaving in 2015 as its longest-serving coach.

Klopp was named Liverpool coach in 2015. He guided the club to successive UEFA Champions League finals in 2018 and 2019, winning the latter to secure his first, and sixth, title for Liverpool in the competition.
