Everything makes it seem that the FC Barcelona player and the France team, Antoine Griezmann, will miss the rest of the season after Barcelona said Sunday that the striker and midfielder had a thigh injury.
The winner of the 2018 Russia World Cup, he left at halftime in Saturday's 1-0 win over Valladolid, after apparently asking to be substituted.
"He left because he had a problem," Barcelona coach Quique Setién said Saturday. "It was he who asked for the change."
"This morning's tests have shown that first team player Antoine Griezmann has a quadriceps muscle injury in his right leg," Barca said on his website.
"Therefore, he is not available to be called up or taken into account at this time," said a statement about the 29-year-old, who has scored 15 goals, in 46 games this season.
It seems that Griezmann will miss the last games of La Liga with FC Barcelona, with Real Madrid needing only five points from the 12 remaining in dispute to win the title.
Barça also face a return match of the last 16 of the Champions League on August 8 after drawing 1-1 at Napoli before the closing

Tests this morning have shown that first-team player Antoine Griezmann has a muscle injury in the quadriceps of his right leg. He is therefore not available for selection at the present time and the evolution of the injury will condition his availability.
The French player participated in Barça's victory this Saturday against Valladolid (0-1), playing the first half before being replaced at half time by Luis Suárez.
